An important milestone has taken place at the National Cancer Institute — a third Elekta linear accelerator has been put into operation, to be used for high-precision radiation therapy of cancer patients.
This project was made possible thanks to the support of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the State Enterprise "Medical Procurement of Ukraine," which systematically promote the development of modern cancer care and the renewal of medical facilities' infrastructure.

Linear accelerators are one of the key tools in cancer treatment. They deliver high-precision irradiation of tumors while maximally preserving healthy tissue, which improves treatment effectiveness and safety.
The opening of the third linear accelerator is another important step in the development of the National Cancer Institute and the strengthening of Ukraine's cancer care system. Our goal is to make modern, high-quality, and accessible treatment available to every patient who needs it.
