The National Cancer Institute's Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care is a highly qualified team of professionals who ensure patient safety and comfort during complex surgical procedures. The department employs more than 30 physicians who provide anesthesia for more than 5,000 operations a year and deliver intensive care to patients in the most critical conditions.

Our specialists apply modern anesthesia techniques, postoperative management, and resuscitation care, implementing international ERAS (Enhanced Recovery After Surgery) standards for faster patient recovery after surgery.

The department serves as a base for research and educational activity, participates in clinical research, and helps implement new approaches to treating acute and chronic pain, nutritional support, thrombosis prevention, and intensive care in oncology.
