Call for Applications: Twinning Initiative for Cancer Research

The National Cancer Institute of Ukraine invites researchers, clinical teams, and institutional partners to apply for the Twinning Initiative for Cancer Research – a new opportunity to strengthen collaboration and research capacity across Europe.

The initiative is implemented within the EUnetCCC – European Network of Comprehensive Cancer Centres – aims to promote collaboration between cancer centres, research groups, core facilities, and institutions across the European Union. It supports small-scale, high-impact partnerships focused on advancing research methodologies, technologies, and thematic expertise.

Who can apply

The initiative is open to researchers and institutions seeking to:

  • expand their research capacity and methodological approaches 
  • explore new technologies and emerging thematic areas 
  • develop new research specializations 

What the initiative offers

Through the Twinning Initiative, participants will have the opportunity to:

  • collaborate with experienced European partners 
  • exchange knowledge, best practices, and research expertise 
  • explore innovative techniques and technologies 
  • establish sustainable, long-term research partnerships 

Format of activities

The programme supports a variety of collaboration formats, including site visits, short-term internships, joint webinars and workshops. 

The initiative covers travel costs and short-term stays abroad.

Applications open: March 1, 2026 

Deadline for applications: June 1, 2026
