Hospitalization to the clinical departments of the National Cancer Institute is carried out on working days from 08:00 to 16:00 (the exact time will be specified by your doctor).
Our specialists will help you complete all stages of the admission process – from registration to placement in the department.
A doctor of the National Cancer Institute may refer you for planned hospitalization if:
- specialized treatment of a malignant tumor is required (for example, surgery, radiation, or chemotherapy);
- it is impossible to establish a diagnosis during an outpatient consultation and additional examinations are needed;
- symptomatic or rehabilitation treatment is necessary, which can only be provided in specialized conditions;
- treatment of benign tumors of various localizations is required under inpatient conditions.
Conditions of hospitalization:
- Planned hospitalization is carried out upon referral from the Institute’s polyclinic doctor or another clinical department.
- Patients referred for hospitalization must undergo outpatient examinations in the scope defined by the Institute’s approved local protocols.
- For citizens of Ukraine, hospitalization is free of charge (covered by the National Health Service of Ukraine within the Medical Guarantees Program).
- For foreign citizens, treatment is provided on a contractual basis, unless otherwise stipulated by international agreements or applicable legislation.
Documents and examinations required upon admission:
- passport or other identity document;
- results of examinations and tests conducted on an outpatient basis;
- decision of the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) on treatment strategy;
- on site, sign a written consent for the processing of personal data and for examinations and treatment;
If the patient is a child:
- birth certificate;
- vaccination record (preferably).
If the patient is a foreign citizen:
- it is recommended to clarify the procedure with the Call Center or with a consulting doctor.
Cases when hospitalization is not possible:
We care about the safety of all patients. Therefore, hospitalization is not carried out if the patient has:
- emergency conditions not related to complications of the oncological process;
- exacerbation of chronic infectious or other comorbid diseases that prevent special treatment;
- absence of required examinations as stipulated by the Institute’s clinical protocols.
Recommendations for patients before hospitalization:
- Be sure to bring the full set of required documents and results of tests and examinations.
