Research Department of Hemoblastosis Chemotherapy


In the process of formation modern department of Oncohematology underwent number of changes. For the last 6 years was expanded therapeutic and diagnostic facilities of the department. Since 2008 the scientific department headed by Krachok I.A., PhD.  Here is provided treatment of all types of chronic lymphoproliferative disorders. Patients with Hodgkin lymphoma, various types of non-Hodgkin lymphomas (indolently, aggressive, highly aggressive), multiple myeloma come here from all regions of Ukraine.

In ordinary conditions patients receive comprehensive qualified medical assistance and modern treatment based on international and local standards (European — ESMO, American — NCCN), approved by leading clinics in the world. The staff of the Department consists of an active, initiative and competent hematologists. There are all conditions for professional development.

All doctors regularly take part in international symposiums, they are also trained in leading clinics around the world. The department actively cooperates with the leading hematological clinics of Europe. In addition, the team is open for cooperation with all oncohematological departments of Ukraine. Under the auspices of the department and National Cancer Institute annually are held conference with participation of leading European experts in the field of diagnostics and treatment of lymphoma. Thanks to work of the department the treatment results and therapy efficacy of patients reached international level. Results of developments of department are recognized in the world, published in international editions, reported at international forums.

Scientific and practical activities are focused on:

  • Diagnosis and treatment of Hodgkin’s lymphoma
  • Diagnosis and treatment of non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas
  • Diagnosis and treatment of multiple myeloma
  • Diagnosis and treatment of chronic lymphocytic leukemia
  • Application of unique methods for Ukraine of lymphoma diagnosis (molecular genetic, cytogenetic studies, telemedicine to diagnose difficult clinical cases)
  • Implementation of unique methods of treatment of lymphomas for Ukraine
  • Using of modern chemo- and radiation programs depending on tumor extension and presence of risk factors
  • Application of an individualized approach to the treatment of patients with hematological malignancies
  • Application of targeted therapy of lymphoma and chronic lymphocytic leukemia according to the immunomorphological characteristics of tumor
  • Treatment of rare and extranodal lymphomas (primary CNS lymphoma, primary mediastinal lymphoma, MALT-lymphoma of stomach and other sites, T-cell lymphomas (including T / NK-cell lymphomas))
  • Therapy of relapse (“salvage” therapy)
  • Providing treatment for pregnant woman and lactating mothers
  • Treatment of elderly patients with lymphoproliferative disorders
  • Using of techniques helping to preserve the fertile function of patients during chemo- and radiotherapy
  • Using of supportive therapy for patients during antitumor therapy
  • Palliative therapy in case of impossibility of radical treatment
  • Providing advisory help to patients and physicians of all regions of Ukraine regarding diagnostics and treatment of lymphoproliferative disease
