NAS of Ukraine received the State Prize of Ukraine in the field of science and technology (chemical-biological and medical sciences) for the work “Fundamental basics for the implementation of mechanisms of antitumor protection of the body.”

Original methods of manufacturing individual antitumor vaccines based on xenogeneic embryonic proteins, which are obtained from autologous cells, are proposed. The effectiveness of such vaccines was confirmed experimentally, in particular, they were included in complex therapy for patients with gastric cancer and non-small cell lung cancer. A significant result of auto vaccine therapy is a significant increase in almost 20% in the overall 5-year survival rate in vaccinated patients.
